Natural Progression

So, about a month ago, all AJ could do was lie on his back. Sometimes he'd roll over, but that was pretty much it for his bag of tricks. I mean, he was darned cute and all, but pretty stationary.

Then he started his belly crawl.

Around that time, we really started working on this:

Maybe a week ago, he started doing this (not always with the pillow):

And a few days after that, he did this:

And a couple of days ago, this:

Well, I didn't get a picture of it, but today, he pulled himself to a stand by the couch. Since _his_ intent was to climb _onto_ the couch, he managed to take a few steps, "cruising" down the couch, prior to falling over and hitting his head. :) He's been doing a lot of that lately.

They tell you that it all happens so fast....but really...it's been like three weeks since he was a lump. Now he _HAS_ lumps from falling over and hitting his head so often! It's so bittersweet. I mean, I really am proud of him when he pulls himself up (and he's obviously so proud of himself)...but he's growing and changing so fast!
