Fall Y'all Giveaway: $15 Panera Bread GC

Ok, ok...I know that you regular readers are thinking, "Three posts in one day??!!! What's going on?!!" Well, what's going on is three-fold:
1) My in-laws are coming up to visit tomorrow and the house is a mess, so I'm looking for things I can be doing other than clean up. I mean, hey...I've got all morning tomorrow before they get here and a really small house! :) (and their only grandson, so they can't complain too much)
2) Since I haven't posted much lately, there's a lot in my mind that wants to be said and once I get started, I want to get it all out, ya know? And since I require large amounts of inertia to get going on a project, I tend to do lots of one thing all at once instead of a little at a time...especially when there's something else I ought to be doing instead (see #1) :p
3) As part of my procrastination today, I've spent lots of time waiting for my work computer to think about something and update my model. So in that down time, I've been catching up on my "It's Fall Y'all Giveaway" entries...and now feel _REALLY_ guilty that I'm entering to win lots of stuff from everyone else, but have yet to offer anything myself.

So now that I've put off cleaning for yet a few more minutes, let me tell you what you can win, why, and how.

WHAT: $15 Panera Bread Gift Card (I'd post a picture, but have I mentioned that I'm lazy?)
WHY: Well, for reason 3 stated above, but also because Shannon at Rocks in my Dryer is hosting another giveaway carnival like she did over the summer (remember this?). Most people posted their links Monday morning. I waited till Thursday afternoon, so I'm going to be at least giveaway #613! I've made it through #269 myself so far and most close sometime tomorrow so we both need to get cracking!
HOW:

  • Write a comment to me below. Don't just say "enter me, please." or something similar (although politeness is preferred). You have to tell me what you think that fish think about. If you don't, then your entry won't be counted. I'm serious. Be creative.
  • Make sure you include some way for me to contact you. Obviously, if I know who you are and we email regularly, you don't need to worry about this, but for all of you who are like me and only look at most other blogs on Works-for-me Wednesdays and various Giveaway carnivals, I need some way to contact you. Include your email address in the comment or a link to your blog or blog profile on which I can find an email address for you or can leave you a comment or something.
  • This is open to people in the US and Canada (including APOs). Sorry folks in the rest of the world! It's not worth the $5 to mail you a gift card that I don't know you could use anyway.
  • This is also open to my regular readers which I think primarily are friends and family. Hey, it would be great if I could just hand the card to you rather than having to remember to address an envelope and put it in the mail with a stamp on it and everything. So comment away. Extra points if you know the first person I asked what fish think. (Extra, extra points if you know why.)
  • I'll close the comments after AJ goes to bed on Sunday (usually between 7 and 8 PM, ET - just remember to turn your clocks back - it's the "Witching Hour" this weekend, baby!) and then use a random number generator to pick the winner.
  • If the winner cannot fulfill his/her obligations as the winner, then the runner up will get to be Miss America...or spend $15 of someone else's money at Panera...whatever.

So comment..................................NOW!!!

I have a giant nearly 8 year old goldfish named Roswita and I can tell you, all she thinks about it eating rocks. ell, not really eating, but picking them up, gargling them and then spitting them back out. It's all she does. All day long. I've had to remove a rock from her jaws only once when she couldn't cough it back out. I used tweezers. She's nearly 10 inches long now but that was when she was about 6 inches long. Her mouth can now hold many rocks at once.

fish think about why in the heck they smell so bad.

Fish wonder why they can't breath on land. And in this wondering of theirs, they try to come up with brilliant ways to make it possible. So far, only the mermaids have figured it out and arent' sharing the secret.

I am not sure what all fish think...but I know my fish thinks : "What are those moves that she is doing again, and why does she laugh when she is doing it. Can't she just stop what she is doing and feed me more food!!"

This is what my fish thinks when I am dancing in the living again and again.

We love Panera and appreciate your generosity!

I think that fish think that it's a terrible injustice that all they get is worms and that they never get to have that lovely Crispani at Panera with the grapefruit oil. Yep, that's it. :)

Count me in! What do fish think? I'm thinking they're swimming around saying "Man, I need a change of scenery. This is place is so dull & boring." Good luck everyone & Happy Fall!

What a funny idea! Are you meaning fish in a fish bowl or fish in a stream? I think that fish in a stream must look at all the water sparkles and dream of diamonds.

What, you don't think so? I bet every girl fishy wants diamonds!

My 6 yr old daughter said if she were a fish, she would think about cute boy fish.

Great, that is just great!;D

Me thinks the fish thinks food a lot
He swims and skims until he's hot
And then he drifts until he's not
But mostly he thinks food a lot.

Great idea for a question!

Fish think that those little carrot cakes at Panera are heavenly. Isn't that the translation of "glub glub glub?"

According to the fish on "Peep and the Big, Wide World" (kids show) they discuss the facsinating details of the world "above". :) Hope this counts! :)

I think fish think about how cool the water feels as it glides over their gills. And about how they love it when the sun shines from above.

"Swim swim, I am swimming to school. Wait, I am IN a school of fish, going to school to learn about other schools of fish. My brain hurts now. Oh look! A snack! I think I will munch it."

*Munch*

"Oh noes! The snack is a hook. I am playing hooky from my school now. Up up and away, I go!"

If I were a fish I think I would always be thinking, "Holy Dejavu!"

I think that fish are thinking "I would love to be totally dry, just once".

I love Panera. Delish.

Sorry. I'm very realistic (boring?) so i think fish probably think about where to get food and how to stay away from their enemies.

I think that the fish in my aquarium want to know who that little human is that keeps banging on their tank. And why does he only say "aiaaaa" when he bangs? Is it some secret human language? Why do the bigger humans pick up the little one when he bangs and then point at us?

Mari said...

I can tell you have a great imagination! The fish are thinking that they are bored! The thisnk "everything lools the same, the fish I swim with never change, I'm hungry but I always eat the smae thing..."

Lynn said...

How fun! Fish are thinking...."What are those big creatures with eyes staring at me through this glass? Where are their gills and fins? "

Anonymous said...

Given that most goldfish die from over-feeding, fish are most likely thinking, "Oh MAN am I stuffed. And if my belly is so full, why does it want to float to the top of the fishbowl?"

But I'M not stuffed. Panera sounds great!!

We have four fish. I think all they think about is when I'm going to feed them next. I hope that is all they think about. If they are smart enough to think about more than that, I feel really badly for them.

What fish? Any fish? Okay..a fish might be thinking, "People are so silly...they keep watching us swim...don't they have better things to do?" :)

LOL your too funny..
hmm what do fish think about..
well that depends if its a wild fish or a fish in a fish tank..

the ones in the fish tanks are prol wondering what the h*ll all these weird plastic things are in their tank (im fairly sure plastic treasure chests are not in their natural habitat)..
the ones in the wild are wondering where their friends went to (the ones now in fishtanks)

:) Fish are yummie

If I was a fish I think I'd be out there in the big ocean and knowing me lost. So I'm lost and of course I've swam to far down and it's cold and I'm think "This is a bad neighborhood, see how those other fish are hiding an watching me, except that fish over there who is swimming kind of crazy, "Hey dude watch where your going!" Most have swam through some toxic waste."

I think that fish wonder why these strange looking creatures stand there staring and knocking on the glass. Although I still feel bad for my old goldfish, I can only imagine what he was thinking when he saw the huge cat head coming down into his bowl for a drink. Whatever he was thinking it was scary enough to give him a heartattack, I found him floating after that.

Do fish think? I suppose the only way we will ever know is if we could be a fish - not on my list of things to do!

Great giveaway!

My fish thoughts come from our families favorite movie!! "No eating here tonight, No eating here tonight! You're on a diet!" We love Finding Nemo! Dory is our favorite! Thanks for making me think!

I wish I could tell you what fish think about. I obviously have children because my first thought was "Just keep swimming..." Thanks for the giveaway!

Karen said...

This is fabulous, please count me in. This is funny because my dad owns a Bait and Tackle shop, so my family is ALL about the fish:) Although I have to agree with Kelly, my first thought was "just keep swimming...", LOL. So, I think that fish think about how they can trick humans into toppling their boats over into the water so they can get free bait and not worry about hooks. Then they laugh as the humans are flailing around in the water:) Thanks!

Fish get distracted easily. They first think "Where's food?", then "Ahhh - a bigger fish! Must get away!" and then, "What was I thinking? Oh yes, food..."
